Cricket Australia launches next year its own domestic league “Big Bash League” on the Friday October 29, 2010. This Big Bash League is ready being launched in the session of 2011-2012 and it is also approved by the Cricket Australia (CA), the CA’s chief executive officer James Sutherland made an above statement. This BBL (Big Bash T20) contains the characteristics of IPL. This Tourney League starts from the December 2011- January, 2012.
Big Bash League is a six-team event and now becoming an eight-team affair.
The Board has took the decision of getting private investments into these teams because the board is in the amenable to that situation. The private holdings are restricted up to 33%. It is believed that this Big Bash League is expected to create a nice buzz in the Indian market where the some people of India are interested to keep their investments in BBL who didn’t get an opportunities to keep their investments in the IPL.
